Dr. Felix J. Grumbach
Since 2016 I have been building field-proven optimization solutions and applications for production and logistics. Alongside R&D, I was directly involved in operations management at a metalworking company and know shop-floor realities firsthand. I have worked with several major industrial firms to optimize production planning in a data-driven way — analyzing material flow and planning dynamics from multiple angles to develop smarter methods that simplify planning and deliver measurably better outcomes.
Software and integration
Stefan Görlitz
As a business informatics specialist with long experience in full-stack development and technical consulting, I have focused since 2016 on implementing and integrating complex systems — especially near-SAP manufacturing IT. My emphasis is technical delivery, integration, and validation of demanding applications. At Qunevo I lead development of our software platform, ensuring tailored embedding in customer systems from backend and interfaces to the UI — smooth, practical implementations that create real value day to day.
From idea to product
Production scheduling decides when each order runs on which resource. ERP, MES, and APS often hit their limits here — planning statically without flexibly handling disruptions or dynamic flows. Qunevo rethinks planning: declarative, realistic, AI-assisted. Instead of rigidly fixing resources and dates, users define goals — Qunevo generates robust, optimized plans automatically. Dynamic order flows, material availability, and disruptions are modeled realistically. Planners are unburdened to focus on what matters: decisions, process improvement, and opportunity.
Research & validation
Research and evolution of intelligent production scheduling in multi-year projects at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and the Saxony-Anhalt doctoral center. Algorithms were validated in real plants and published in international peer-reviewed journals.
Concept & MVP
The spin-off idea takes shape — aiming for a practical, scalable SaaS model. Prior research is consolidated, first algorithms move into an MVP, a modular architecture emerges, and initial UIs are prototyped.
Market launch
Qunevo GmbH is founded and operations begin with innovative planning software. The project is supported by the State of NRW and the EU (ERDF). At the Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE) at Bielefeld UAS we mature the product together with first pilot customers.
